Utror is located at about 16 km from Kalam. At a height of 2,200 metres (7,200 feet) above sea level, Utror is a charming village and a totally un-spoilt location with excellent walking and fishing opportunities. There are a number of picnic spots along the river. A jeepable road 4 km towards southwest takes one to Liddu, from where it is a 3 hour walk up to the beautiful Kundol Lake.
From Liddu, another trail towards southeast leads to Spinkhor Lake. This beautiful lake is situated at an elevation of 10,530 feet above sea level. From Liddu one can also climb up directly to the high pastures of Dessan. This area is the most beautiful part of upper Swat with lush green pastures dotted with colorful wild flowers. From Upper Dessan one can reach Godur Lake which is located at an elevation of 12,600 feet above sea level. A jeep road runs 8 km northwest from Utror to Gabral village which is a lush green picnic spot along the river. From Gabral the jeep road continues another 20 km towards north to Kharkhari Lake, located at an elevation of 9,500 feet above sea level. A 13 km walking trail also goes towards Izmis Lake from Utror, which is located at an elevation of 11,230 feet above sea level. The word ‘Izmis’ means caves in Kohistani and the lake gets its name from the several natural caves surrounding it.

Hi Aatif,
please review the FAQs section here
Thanks
there are many other lakes beside codole lake in utror valley. one of these lakes is the most mysterious one called “paristan lake” which is about 2 or 3 thousand feet above codole lake. paristan means land of fairies. A very dangerous track leads to this lake. I myself have visited this lake. it is beautiful and its location is mysterious. very few people have visited this lake because of its hard and dangerous track.

I visited Swat in 1999. I want to come swat with friends again in June-2012. We want trekking from Kalam to Mahodand and Gabral. Where can we found ports for this trek.

Kalam would be your base camp.. where you will drop your unnecessary luggage.
- Get local guide
There are two treks
1. Utrur
2. Ushu
Utrur ends at Gabral (Kharkhari lake) and on left side you go through Shahbagh(beautiful valley) to Kandol Lake ( Do night camping ) and 2-3 hours trek to another lake. (Use google map to see lakes positions)
Ushu goes to mahodand.. falaksair.. and few other lakes surrounding.
I would suggest you to keep a phone that have working GPS and extra battery backup to record your trek.
the road is very clear now from mingora to kalam, mahudand and gabral, you can easily visited to these places,
